Black Forest trail is beastie. It is all hills. I think there is about three feet of flat space on the whole trail and it is on a road walk. It is an absolutely spectacular trail if you can handle the hills. I can't.... it;'s that simple. I have served support for a couple of attempts at a 24 hr circuit of the trail. One time it was successful. The other time it was called on account of heat. Temps over 100*F. People were dropping of heat exhaustion. But if you can take the hills you will really enjoy it. There are some easy shortcuts if you have to bail. Make sure you have the map and the guidebook. The maps shows all the connecting trail that you can use to get out of trouble. Enjoy.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
