    Ridgeline material?

I'm looking to put a better structural ridgeline on my hammock. Right now I'm using 1 inch climbing webbing because it's what I had at the time. It's too bulky, heavy and it's probably overkill. I'm looking to make a trip to REI soon to pick up a new hammock and I would like to be able to get it there. Would something like this work? http://www.rei.com/product/716224/pm...ssory-cord-5mm
If not, what do they have that's low stretch?

That stuff you pointed out at rei was the first ridge line I had, I used a prussick knot for adjustability. It'll work but save the money and order some dynaglide. If you aren't too heavy oh can even use them to hang on...been sleeping in mine for over a year now. Works great(180lbs)

As far as overkill, check out this awesome thread...

a better alternative would probably just to order some small diameter amsteel, or some zing-it, imo

Before I started using amsteel for the hammock ridge line I used this...http://www.rei.com/product/799630/pm...ckage-of-50-ft and it worked just fine for me.
