    Recipe for Joy

My middle daughter's b-day was this week, so I ran to Hancock Fabrics grabbed some polyester jacket-liner from the clearance rack for $.99 per yard (at 90% off) and cranked out a gathered end.

3 kids down, 4 more to go. Then we all combine forces and take over the world/the Missus--she'll be hanging within two years!
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

    so your recipe would be...?

    1 bargain adventure
    1 backyard
    2 converted swing sets hang-a-ma-jigs
    1 steel pole
1 roll of pimp daddy jacket liner material
1 smiling kid with a pinch of birthday

    :0)
nail your shoes to the kitchen floor lace 'em up and bar the door and thank the lucky stars for the roof over you

I find it quite amusing that you posted the turtledog stand before this one, I see where your priorities lay.

    Nice job, dad

Fabric $4, Some rope $3, Cost for Gas to go the store $12.50 . . . The smile on her face . . . PRICELESS!

    Great Birthday Gift!

    Nice job, dad
You can say what you want, but let me hit you with some knowledge--a hammock's novelty factor for a 7 year old could wear off, and the smiles with it... but a turtledog stand lasts Daddy a lifetime

Thanks all! I appreciate the support.

I totally got that, I was just looking for an excuse to say "Let me hit you with some knowledge"!
