    Hi All,

Dirt hiker here looking to get a Hammock and start Hammock Camping! Tired of getting little sleep when I back pack.

I am a Big guy so any help with larger higher rated hammocks would be great. So far it seems to be either the Blackbird Double 1.7 or the Clark NX 200, which is out of stock.

I have never used a hammock for camping so I am a complete newbie in that respect. I have been camping / backpacking for too many years to count so in that regard I am experienced.

I live and mostly hike in the PNW (Pacific North West).

I am also on several other hiking sites with the same handle.

Welcome to the madness! There is a lot to choose from. Wilderness Logics Night Owl has a 375 max weight limit and I believe it is 132" long so that would work for your largeness. Enjoy and ask, ask, ask!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

Big guys are especially comfortable in hammocks. This I personally know to be true. You just have to choose wisely. Your first job is to read and practice everything you read here. LOL
