I spoke to Slowanderer, and he will have a stove with him, so we should be set. He very well may already be at the campground by now. MrsMustardman and I plan to leave here around 2:00-3:00, and arrive at Burning Bear around 4-5:00

We were planning around three too, but now that's looking optimistic. We'll see, lol. Might be another setup in the dark for us... nothing new. XD

Just a quick teaser before I hop in the shower and start cleaning up some of my gear - we had a heck of a weekend, and a lot of great friends were made. This might be the largest Colorado hang we've had yet. I counted 11 hammocks on Friday night, and I believe two left Saturday morning, to be replaced by four more by Saturday night, putting the total hammock count for Saturday at 13. That might be a record for us.

Oh, and that many people showing up? Yeah, they camped in these kinds of temperatures....

More detailed trip report to come soon.

Thanks so much for putting this together, guys. Hannah and I had a blast, even if she seems to have caught a cold. o.O I'll go ahead and write up a quick report of our experience whenever the official report thread makes its debut.

And thanks a ton, Mustardman, Mrs. Mustardman, and Brandon, for letting me borrow and test out your gear. My order has been placed for a 1.1DL BB. ^.^ SUPER tough decision, and I'm still not totally sure it was the right one, but I figure I can't have gone wrong either way and well... there's always room for another hammock down the road, haha.

Another night on the ground for Hannah has, I think, convinced her hammocks are the way to sleep. She just can't do cold weather. Apparently, she's a very cold sleeper, and I'm a very hot sleeper. We had our 0° bags inside the 45° bags, and I had to strip down to my base layer, then slept outside the 0° bag, only protected by the loose-fitting 45° bag, lol. Hannah, on the other hand, was inside both bags with about a dozen of those hand warmers, and only THEN was she warm. Go figure.

Thanks again, y'all. It was an awesome place, and it was even more awesome to meet all you great people. Hammock Forums really is a special place, you guys are a great bunch of people.

It was a pleasure meeting all of you. I only wish we could have stayed Saturday night but alas my wife didn't want to "hang" . I did take a few shots and will post a teaser of our drive. The link takes you to the rest of the shots.

Here's a shot from the top of Guanella pass on the way to the camp ground from I70 / Georgetown:

So nice to meet everybody who showed up to the hang. Boothill and I had a great time, and I came home with an unexpected (but totally welcome) souvenir....a new Ridge Runner!
