    Anyone Removed the Bag strap/clip?

Has anyone removed the webbing strap and clip that's sewn to the bottom of the stuff sack? I really don't see a reason for this to exist.

I have removed not only the strap and buckle but also the bag. I now use it as a snake skin bag with a hole cut in the bottom corner for my foot end supension. works great this way and much quicker to set up!

I was considering this. I have read somewhere that you can fit the bug net in the same bag as the DN for even easier packing/setup. Is this true?

somewhat true depending on what net you use.

if you have a guardian bug net no way they will both fit.

I have a DIY tulle bug sock that fits in with the suspension and tree straps no problem. a noseeum sock may also fit but is less compressable.
***disclamer***(I have also removed the floppy sides of my ENO DN)

I kept my straps/clips. They come in handy to hold my supension in place outside the bag when it has rained so the hammock doesn't get wet. If it doesn't rain I just stuff the suspension in the bag.

The ENO bag also holds my Cocoon ultralight Air Core Pillow. I pack it pillow, hammock, suspension and use the straps to compress tight and compact. Still has room for 7' tree straps and Camp nano biners.

I liked it at first because it was nice for synching it down, but then it started to rip off so I ditched it

I purchased the complete hammock suspension system from JrB. I used the 12” Utility Loop with a Dutch Biner to replace what was on my DN. It works great and the entire hammock and suspension easily fits in the bag. I have not removed the bag strap and clip but should. I never use it.
I may be lost but I am making great time.
