I used clothes pins to hang the fabric under my underquilt on the hammock (with someone in it), so I could mark the exact perimeter I wanted. After cutting I sewed it to my underquilt, but mine is a DIY underquilt, so you might want to develop another method of attachment. I'm real pleased with the protection it offers..tested in sidehill hang in a hail/rain/windstorm. Got dirty but no moisture passed through. Adds about 5-8 degrees of warmth, with no noticeable condensation issues.

If you want one of sil-nylon, why not make an over-sized pack cover, then use it as an UQ protector at night. I love multi-function gear.
As others said, if you want to purchase one, can't go wrong with 2Q2Z stuff.

+1 on this. My UQ protector does triple duty as a pack rain cover and as a gear mini hammock on ridge line. I have shock cord in the seams on all 4 sides, 4 cord locks to size the corners, and 4 mitten hooks tied into ends of shock cord for hanging from UQ shock cord or ridgeline depending on application.
Thanks everyone. Looks like I will be purchasing one from 2Q2Z guys. Thought that was my best option just needed some reassurance!
