Thanks. You were my inspiration on that last hike I've had a kilt made and it should be in a gear review soon. I might even use it at our fall group hang on Greylock this weekend.

No promises guys but I am going to give it a try We'll see how I like the cool breeze

I do like the idea of more cooling on long hikes in the summer and easier clean up at stops.

    Well that's awesome!

Until HF, I never considered kayakcamping. Thank you for sharing this with us. The pics are lovely. I love gears and so the tramway parts are just friken cool!

Can't wait to see the trip report. Just don't hang that hammock on a game trail. A fast moving moose will do a number on you

Your welcome. The tramway was cool to look at. I couldn't beleive all this stuff was just out in the middle of nowhere. The museum had some cool picks of the tramway and trains but they just don't do justice to what it's like finding these things in the middle of the wilderness.

My family is looking at kayaking the Allagash this summer and I was wondering if at most of the sites there are enough places to have at least 4 hammocks hanging?
We are going with my brother who has done the trip three times, but he doesn't hang so I know he wouldn't be looking at trees in the same way.
    Thank you.
