I like Hammock Gear
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
Jacks hudson river... O degree phoenix..
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..
Working on a PLUQ because down underquilts are too expensive for me.

20* Incubator, I love it!
JRB Nest 3 season, because it is made for my HH Bottom Entry, but also fits fine on my DIY gathered end.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!
A bunch ( my "excuse" is most are for family and friends, but not really )
Can't help you choose because I really like them all, they are all excellent.
But to answer the question:
1: HH Super Shelter, my first and still has a part of my loyalty. Works for me, and has some unique advantages that no other does. OK, it is NOT an UQ, but it feels just like one as far as comfort, and hangs UNDER the hammock. So sort of.
2: Speer Pea Pod. Love it to death. Will not work on hammocks with nets unless you can get them out of the way. Works better with narrow hammocks. Well, maybe not better, but different. Depends on your goal. If your goal is maximum warmth using only the pod and maybe warm clothing, then narrow is much better. If you plan to use at least a summer weight TQ with it any way, then a wider hammock- up to a point, is just as good. This thing ( with certified 927 FP down ) is the absolute bomb. I have never understood why more folks don't have them and why there is not more raving about them.
3: JRB MW3(convertible torso+ to full length) and
4: MW44. Superb quality dif cut UQs which are also the absolute bomb with the JRB bridge hammocks. They are probably as good as any with non bridge hammocks as far as I know, but are simply fool proof on the bridge hammocks, and are essentially a custom fit on the JRB bridge hammocks. Very warm and toasty.
5: No longer available sadly: A Warbonnet torso sized Yeti, original synthetic Climashield version. Despite being synthetic, this thing is difficult to beat at warmth for weight. It runs less than 10 oz or so with the one sewn in layer of CS which has easily kept me warm into the high 40s. I think that is hard to beat even with 800 FP down, htough the down will pack down smaller. There are 3 extra layers of CS to be added as needed. 2 extra have taken me and mine into the 20s toasty, and with all 4 layers total some here have gone well below zero. Plus, it is super quick drying synthetic. It is a jewel.
So there Ya go, save your money and buy one of those. Plus there are several other manufacturers here which I don't have (yet) but whose reputations are equal to those I mentioned.
