    Who Makes These?

And am I using them right?

I got these in a PIF from a member who said a vendor had sent them with an order. I got the PIF for the Dutch Clips, but one I got a good look at these, this whoopie sling application seemed right. Is it?

I got the hammock up and sat in it, but didn't hang around to hang around as it was starting to rain a tad, and it was getting kinda windy:

    1) The windsock you strung up sure seems to be working!

    2) I can't help you on who makes them, but in my opinion if the application works, use it! It seems to be fine for you the way you have it set up. Does the buckle slip at all?

No slip while sitting and while having a good deal of wind applied, but I'm thinking a good slp not is in order just in case.

I agree, but in that case if you're going to knot it anyway why not just use a marlin spike and save yourself a buckle (in exchange for a smaller toggle)?

i would definitely run the webbing back thru the buckles once the hammock is set BEFORE getting in, as thats how both the dutch and elephant trunk ones are intended so you dont get a really unpleasant drop from the buckle sliding down. ask me how i know...

I'm fairly sure there's somebody out there who has them and a video on YouTube on how to use them, but I can't find it without knowing what the name of the dangtings are.

I was going to say the same as Rev did, loop the webbing back thru, it would help keep it from slipping.

The weather is nicer today, so I'm going to stop off at the park on my way home and try again, looping back through.

Wish I knew who made these. If they work at all I'm going to get at least one more pair.
