What exactly is a Safari "classic" w/net removed? So this is a bottom entry older model of the Safari Deluxe with the netting cut off? I've got a friend looking for a big, comfortable backyard hammock and I thought one of these might foot the bill. Either this or just go with an ENO doublenest.....

    Thanks....

Yes, it is a bottom entry with the netting removed - I picked one up last year. My guess is they had a quality issue with the netting.

I just got one! I'd emailed (twice) within minutes of receiving HH's email but didn't get a reply. Tried phoning but they were always busy...until yesterday afternoon. And they still had an Explorer Classic in good condition available. Can't wait for it to arrive.

I bought a brand new HH Cub Zip with 'skins via eBay for my 5 yo son a week or two ago so this will have us both equipped to take him camping for the 1st time in a few weeks when Florida's weather cools a bit more.

ZQ, just curious, but do you supply & make a new net, or repair/stitch back on the original?

First...Important...This is for Hennessy Hammocks only!

We have been asked many times if we can put a netting on a HH where the netting has been removed and they no longer have the netting. Our answer used to be sorry, but no. Then a thought came to me...make some netting patterns, so now the answer is.....

Yes, I have netting patterns for most of the HH's models, and should be able to make a new netting and attach it to the hammock with our zipper Mod #4. The hammock must have a ridgeline set to the original length.

Second question....Yes, I can repair the netting depending on where the repair is, the size, type of damage. Most of the tears we have seen are where the netting is attached to the body of the hammock, and can be repaired with one of our zipper mods.

I have completely removed a damaged netting, made a pattern and attached the new netting with the Mod#4. If someone has removed their netting, and still has it, I should be able to reattach it with our Mod #4. I have also removed the camo netting and replaced it with the black netting.

Any other questions, let us know!
