As a newer newbie than you are, I feel strange welcoming you to the Forum.

OTOH, just how much gear do you have??

I'm sorry I didn't know about the hang but then I wouldn't have been able to make it anyways since I have NO gear at all.

I've dreamed of being able to take the time to go to one of the US hangs just so I can see up front and for real some of the various hammocks. I'm cringing at the thought of having to buy something sight unseen. I've got a thread in the General Hammocking section asking for some advice right now.

Hey Bubba,

I am a huge Thoreau fan, last summer I went to "the pond" on my motorcycle for a 2 day retreat, it was well worth the drive. Will definitely see you on the next hang I can make.
