    Help me stay warm!

Hi everyone. I got a GT Skeeter beeter pro for camping this summer. I was alright with keeping warm in the summer but when fall hit along with 40* nights I realized I needed something more. I sleep pretty warm at night but my feet tend to get cold first. what would you suggest i use to stay warm down to the 40's? thanks in advance for the input!

Either a CCF pad or an UQ (rated for your comfort) from any one of our fine vendors here on HF. I am partial to Hammock Gear quilts. For your feet, well I wear down booties and love um. You can get them from AHE Paul or feather friends or light I always forget the place I purchased them from.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I've been happy so far with this CCF from Jacks "R" Better. . .I went with the 26" X 48; and about half the price of the GG pad. ". . .the the service was great !!

Is there a "best value" underquilt rated in the 30* range? Or would I see similar prices no matter where I look? I like the idea of an underquilt that can convert to an overquilt

I am finding that the value quilt that Jacks are better offers that can convert from TQ to UQ is a cool idea! I'm just not sure of the longevity with the design being sewn through instead of having baffles. I believe my current sleeping bag is sewn through and haven't had issues there. Can anyone shed light on this subject or offer a similar solution to the convertible quilt?

I have a 30° mummy bag currently. If I could use that for an underquilt without ruining it that would be perfect! I assume there are different options in doing this. Either add tubes to run shock cord through or get something I could hang under my hammock to set the mummy bag on? Just thinking out loud... any pointers?
