    Poncho Over Cover

The multy use poncho scores again. It fits perfectly over my SRL with about a six inch gap at the head/foot. Small snaps at the corners keeps it closed on the ends and my shock cord/mitten hook belt works as a guy out on the entry side. I hope to have enough venting with the hood opened and the gaps at the ends. Will test it out on a Vt. hike mid month.

Sweet! Im thinking of switching to a poncho but wondering if enough protection in the semi cold? Say 35-60* F and raining?

I think the poncho in tarp mode will make a nice beak or wind break. That is one of the reasons i want to get one. Instead of the doors...

Poncho, that is my favorite multi-use gear. Very small, light and so many uses, only limited by my brain.

Standard military issue has done me great. It's home in the woods, pack cover, gurney, boat, sail, and anything else you want it to be. Did I mention you can use it as a poncho to.
