Hello from Central PA

I live outside of Harrisburg PA. Been at the outdoor thing for 40+ years and now considering getting off the ground. My daughter who has begun backpacking with me over the last 3 years suggested we try this out and now in full out research mode.
So a bit about me: sleep on side, stomach and back, 5' 10" 195# and looking to stay light on load but not obsessive about it. Three season camper now but I do get into some cold areas at times like the Whites in NH. Usually go out for 3-6 days at a time. Have some experience with DIY from Frostline kits of 30 years ago.
Trying to learn:
1) What hammock type best suits me?
2) So far the WBBB and DB seem like good choices- especially like the shelf idea in the BB.
3) If I do consider DIY- suggested patterns?
4) What about bridge style?

Welcome from up the road. Lots of DIY folks in you neck of the woods. Frostline brings back fond memories for many of us. Patterns, as such, for hammocking stuff don't really exist. But the DIY section is chock bung full of approaches and examples. DIY Gear Supply (check the vendors list) has some written instructions which are very handy and used by a lot of folks.
