i may very well be down for that hike and the 2 that are with me but ill warn you ive never hiked much so i may be slow
I will be leaving in the morning, but should be back in the afternoon depending on how long Advancement day for the cubscouts takes. That's why I have not offered to help cook. I may not be back until 4ish. I will bring cooking stuff and food and may be able to help when I get back. I will probably hike on sunday.
im so ready for this weekend work has being crazy and yea the woods will do me some good lol and im doing some upgrading on my hammock
yea im converting to whoopies and i hope some of yall know what your doing cuz ill prob need some help lol im trying to find something to use as a toggle for the marlin spike hitch because im worried that the aluminum ones wont support my weight
if the whoopie is on the knot( see shugs video) it doesn't matter what you use. I tried it with a stick last time and it held. I still use toggles because they weigh next to nothing and look cool. The toggle just holds the knot in place not the weight of the hang. Reeeeemmmmeeeeeemmmmberrrr the kkkknnnnnoottt. As shug would say.
some use climbing carabiners like the Nano 23 (23g) to tie their marlin spike - instead of a toggle; and that means you can hook whoopies directly to the biner and not worry about "not the knot". Either way works - hang your own hang!

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn." — John Muir
so yall think if the toggles would hold if i make sure i go over the knot instead of just the toggle
