Side sleepers: get in here!

Is there any kind of consensus as to what is the best hammock for side sleeping? I ask this because when reading the reviews there will be both pro and con recommendations with regard to the same hammock. Is it just a crap shoot? Is there a specific model that tends to work with a large number of side sleepers? If it helps with your answer, I'm just under 5'11" and weigh around 200 lbs.

I MUST sleep on my side. I can't fall asleep in any other position .

I had a very hard time falling asleep in traditional hammocks because even when laying on the "diagonal" I still felt uncomfortable on my side. I built a simple bridge hammock and BAM what a difference! A bridge hammock actually allows you to lay 100% flat. I will never go back to a gathered end or HH style of hammock.

I have been able to sleep on my side in a Byer Miskito, HH Explorer UL and a tablecloth. Byer and tablecloth are more comfortable, when I sleep on my side I usually stretch our fully. I converted to sleep mostly on my back though.

Fing a group hang, pick up a tablecloth or 10 - 12 ft of material and whip one up for experimentation in the meantime.

I have been able to side sleep in my Claytor Jungle and a Switchback. They are similar styles. I am leaning recently to the SB. I sometimes use a WBBB and can get comfy, just requires more tweaking In my bed I sleep on my right side and stomach, my hammy is left side and back. Go figure.

Here's another thing; I have to be able to change back and forth from left to right. This goes on all night long. How frequently I can't say. Perhaps 3 times on each side. I have pain from chronic injuries that wakes me up and forces me to change positions.

There are lots of us that side sleep. Just like there are hundreds of different mattresses for beds there are lots of hammocks. Some folks find one more comfortable than another...and a lot of it is personal preference.

I have slept grate on my side in Warbonnets Black Birds and in their RidgeRunner. My current preference is the RidgeRunner but again that's mostly just my personal preference.

I'm a side sleeper too. I can't lay on my side in a banana shape, kills my back. I've found I need at least an 11 foot hammock and the wider the material, the better/ flatter the lay. How I position my legs has a lot to do with the lay and comfort too. Stuffing my quilt or a pillow behind me to help me hold my position lets me relax into it more.

I had enough time before I even tried my first hammock to do a whole lot of research.

I sleep on both sides and my back and just from reading here and looking at pictures of people hanging I knew that I didn't even want to try a gathered end hammock.

I made my own version of the Grizz Bridge and couldn't be happier. I sleep every which way but face down and am extremely comfortable. I wake up to rearrange myself and the covers and go right back to sleep.

I can't tell you that you won't be happy with a gathered end because I've never tried one but I can tell you that I love my bridge!!

Well here's something I learned. There's side sleeping, where your knees are slightly bent but you are mostly straight while on your side.
Then there's fetal side sleeping where your knees are more perpendicular to your body.
For me, the bridge didn't work for my fetal side sleeping.
Then again not everybody has a 36" inseam so YMMV.

I am a side sleep in the classic runner position. I sleep successfully in HH Explorer, HH Expedition, DIY table cloth, and even the hammock that comes with the Handy Hammock stand. What I failed to do is find a comfortable side position in my ENO DN.
