Well some how we lost the stakes, and it was raining pretty heavily by the time we got to the campsite, so we ended up calling it off. Wasn't a good start and we got there pretty late

bummer! Hope you can get some rain practice at home or a nearby park so you are happier about taking advantage of the fall weather.

Next time you lose your stakes, just use sticks lying around the camp site. I've gone months without tent stakes and have always been able to put up my tarp.

to tell you the truth the things that you said "rain drip" and a good tarp is about all you can do. i've always had problems with condensation on the inside so sometimes I double up tarps when I know it's going to be wet. And i'm 99.9 % sure theres some hammok yoda(master) out there thats probably going to tell me that it's because I have a "cheap or "stuidid" tarp and they would be correct if they said that....but inthe words of BRAD PAISLEY "I have a love afair with water"

Dearly And Sincerely, Jonah! ps: the song is called "water" by brad paisley pss: Dont waste your time listening to it!
