Congrats on the downy goodness!
Congrats on the downy goodness!
Got my Phoenix late last week thanks to Jenny and Adam's (at Hammock Gear), wonderful customer service. I did a very preliminary test run and it is awesome! I hope to try it out for an overnight in the next couple weeks.
Got a chance to sleep in the old hammock over the weekend with my new Phoenix. Not terribly cold, in the high 30's, but I slept great and comfy. Big thanks to Adam and Jenny for the little piece of happiness.
I have an incubator for my blackbird and love it!

Took my 20 degree phoenix down to 25 the other night.I was comfy and had to shed some clothes.I will plug the footbox end better next time.
Pay attention to fit.The smallest gap and you will know it.
I'm super jealous, but I'm happy for you. Now get out and enjoy it!
I just got an email from Jenny at Hammock Gear telling me that my new Incubator has shipped! I'm really looking forward to this.
Awesomeness everywhere on this thread. I have slept out with it several times now and I can tell you that I think the 20 degree rating is bit conservative. The last time I was out it was about 28. I was in a long sleeved, lightweitght poly shirt, shorts and a pair of wool socks and was as warm as could be. I am fairly certain that I could go into the teens with some extra layers. I ordered mine with 1 oz overfill and I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with Hammockgear.com. They are excellent and keep you posted on how things are going and when they ship. Great company.
