What kind of help are you looking to get? In general start putting it up in the back yard. Get used to the put up and take down procedure just like you would a tent. Get used to how taut you need to pull the hammock. View the hennessey videos online they will give you some help. My first hammock trip was a pitch black mid-november setup. I had used the hammock alot to get used to the setup. But I realized that I had jumped into my sleeping bag and found that was interesting to say the least. I wish I had done that prior. But all worked out well. I use a big agnes bag with the mattress inside the back sleeve of the bag so I did not get cold butt syndrome.

Oh, and one thing I did was instantly replace my suspension on my explorer with whoopies because their fun to make an make for an easy--real easy adjustable suspension. That HH suspension can be a pain if you are trying to adjust.
