    What are they for...?

Maybe it is just me and I should be able to figure it out but for the life of me I have not been able to and I could not find anything in the last couple of hours searching soooo...

What are the two rings (on the inside of the tie out attachments) inside the Hennessy Explorer zip for? One has a length of shock cord attached to it with mitten hooks but they do not appear to have any function to me. Any insight would put my mind at ease (unless it is so obvious it hurts...)

    Thanks in advance!

    Got it guys, thanks!

Looking at the pad on Hennessy's site, it comes with its own hooks and shock cords so it is strange that this came new with about a 3 ft section of cord with hooks at each end...

    Thanks again.

I believe the cord is to hold the net back when unzipped(I remember reading it in a thread). But I have been wrong before.

I thought they were for the pad, but now I want to try them out holding the net.

The O-rings are to hold the radiant bubble pad, should you choose to buy one. On the zip models, there may be a cord with a hook to hold the net out of the way when the hammock is zipped open.

These are new to the more recent production runs. For older hammocks, if you don't see 'em they aren't there.
