Thanks everyone for making the first hang I've planned an awesome weekend! More comments to come once I'm not so bleary eyed and I'll post pictures tomorrow when I can upload them.

...excuse me while I move this from the planning forum...
ahem.
For my first hang, I have to say it was pretty awesome. I got there after dark, which was exactly the opposite of what I wanted to do, and BajaHanger was there, hanging out doing her thing and she gave me a hand setting up, which was exactly what I needed. Everybody got back from going out to eat shortly thereafter and a good time was had by all.
That's when I learned what was wrong with my suspension...twice. I'm confident the vibration sensors the nuclear plant in Jenkinsville went off twice, once for each fall. Much obliged to JunebugDawn, Doc, rcracin24, and ahhhgladius for getting me hanging back in the air with the generous use of a superfluous carabiner gladius happened to have. Time to invest in biners.
The weather was good, and I got a bloody comfortable sleep with no underquilt or pad, only my sleeping bag/top quilt.
Saturday brought some range time, and my Model 44 Mosin-Nagant earned me a few shocked looks from people on the other tables. Apparently, nobody had ever seen a cannon before. ahhhgladius and I shot it enough that the wood stock started to sweat from the heat of the barrel. Junebug even got a few rounds off with it.
The pot luck was pretty great Saturday night. I made stew, and BajaHanger's husband very generously grilled burgers, hot dogs, brats, and we ate like kings in the woods.
Thanks to everybody who went for their help with setting up, or talking to me about ideas I had for further gear. I had an OUSTANDING time with Mullinax95, rcracin24, Gadget, doc, thesecretpresident (shhhh...it's a secret), ahhhgladius, chickenwing (I REALLY appreciate the tips on a double layer. Makes perfect sense now), BajaHanger (for helping me set up and for the great deal. I can't thank you enough), and everybody else that came out that I failed to thank. Special thanks to JunebugDawn for organizing everything. You deserved BOTH high fives. I'm sure there will be pictures to follow.
As always, glad y'all got to meet me!
I used to be a somebody, now I just camp.

As allways I was able to meet new members and and ones I allready consider as friends. The company and food was great. I forgot my UQ and stakes but my friends saved the day, you just cant go wrong without someone saveing your at a hang.
Glad you all had a great hang!
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!
So....that is how the PROS hang out.
It was good to meet everyone.
and don't worry...I'll keep the details a secret.
It sure was a great weekend with some wonderful folks. The weather was awesome, and the site had plenty of trees to support even more folks. I really enjoyed meeting some new folks and hanging with some old friends. Junebug did a wonderful job of bringing it all together. I think we need to make this a monthly thing. There are plenty of places to make this happen. I look forward to hanging with you all again...
