I will be hanging this weekend using my new (!!!) Hennessy Expedition A-Sym Zip hammock.
Since I have ruined my monthly gear budget, I really want to use what I already have in my possession. My two choices for bottom insulation are:
1. I can use my ENO sleeve which allows for a 20 inch pad in fit inside the sleeve and has small "wings" for shoulder/arm insulation. My 20 inch pad is the Therm-A-Rest RidgeRest which is a CCF pad.
2. I can use my Therm-A-Rest Basecamp pad which is a self-inflating air pad which is 25 inches wide. Because of the width, this pad will not fit in my ENO sleeve.
The nightly temps are expected to be in the high 60s and I plan to use my 20 degree sleeping bag as top insulation.
Sooo, regarding easy of use for a noobie (ability to position one's self onto the pad, etc) and warmth, which option is best?
