The SO had a bad experience with one of those rope style lounge hammocks and thinks I am crazy as a loon for even saying the word hammock. My youngest son has gotten scared of the dark because of his grandmother talking about the boogie man eating him in the dark if he doesn't go to sleep. My oldest son,I can't drag him out of his mother's apartment with a 20 ton drag line winch. So,they will be ground dwellers while I hang with the rest of the monkeys.

And never know what they are missing. But I bet if you get your SO into a good solid bottomed nylon hammock they will be singing a different tune. An old ex of mine was that way. Took 5 minutes and she was asleep in my Henessy. Good luck and join us soon on a hang. Even if just for a day. Great way to see and try a lot of different hammocks.
