Clips to attach jackets as a UQ

Do these exist yet? Like this one,....

    [IMG][/IMG]

Seems some hammock set ups would not allow a jacket to fit in the normal zipped up mode. Like over netting and ridgeline, so I had an insomnia induced idea to provide a clip for shock cord. This one is a spring clip utilizing the elastomeric traits of modern plastics. I call it the Cling-on.

I use miniature binder clips from Staples. Very lightweight, and shock cord threads through the fat end so the whole rig can slide up and down the line.

That seems like a great idea. What temp rating do you think your down jacket would be as an UQ?

I don't know, that synthetic puff jacket wouldn't be much, but my winter down jacket might be good. I use full length UQ's but am always tinkering. I hate pads and was just thinking of multi use items,...maybe I'll get another shorter UQ someday. I think for the feet, a jacket would be fine.

I set up a vest for an under quilt using those tiny side release buckles from Dutch. They are small and so lite.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

I sewed some grosgrain loops into the jacket and used those. Did it in a hidden location and nobody sees the gg.
No hardware to loose or misplace.

That's the answer to my problem, I have zipped over the end but it doesn't cover to my 3/4 UQ. Hang it, Problem solved. Thanks

That is a fantastic idea! Now I don't feel like I have to get a full length UQ... just use my jacket on my feet... perfect...
