So can the Owyhee be suspended along with the New River? And can the sleeping bags be nested inside each other?

For a long time, I would nest a 15 deg F down bag inside a roomier 15 deg F syn bag with excellent results.
I can nest the Owyhee inside the 20* mummy bag. I have a square 40* sleeping bag that I've taken to 30* that I can slide between the quilt an hammock if needed. I was planning on converting it into an under quilt. Lets not forget that I'm going to be wearing thermals, wool socks and a couple of layers of clothing. There's also the fact that my wife calls me a blast furnace, I seem to generate a lot of body heat when I sleep, some times to the point that I have to vent or I'll over heat.

I am sorry to hear about your knee! If you are able to make the hang, let us know what we can do to help and make things easier on you. We would love to have you there.

Been there and done that, that was the worst experience of my life and my knees will never be the same. Take care of the knees, there will be other hangs.

Sounds good. This will basically be a car camping exercise so the ultimate safety is cranking up the car heater.

I started with winter camping in the backyard and then doing day hikes while car camping at Hancock and then short hikes into woods [Black Pond or Franconia campground from Lincoln Woods].

It would be great to have you. There won't be a long hike if you don't want to or can't.

I saw this video tonight, and I about cried I laughed to hard. And with all the food we plan on having at the Winter NEHHA, I thought it was appropriate!

ditto for us. Franconia is such an easy 2.5 miles in that if you dying you could walk back in the middle of the night to your car.

I just made a reflectix pad, to complement my CCF Gossamer Gear one. I am TAKING an UQ, but, am going to give it a go without it, see how comfy it is. I like using the pad-we will see if I stay warm & toasty with the added reflectix
