    I don't use a footbox, but I am righthanded and I prefer to have my feet to the left, head to the right. I tried the other way and I was not comfortable.

    I'd imagine the cost is more b/c they may not be kept in stock as the normal model would be.. if there is any automation in the fabric cutting, it may require recalibration of equipment too. I have no idea how his process works.. just speculating
