I just planted the Cleveland Pear on the left today. It is 15' from my existing Maple. I hope to be hanging between them in a few years! Patience is a virtue, I guess.

With beauty all around you, may you walk.
That's Patience on a whole new level. By the time those trees are big enough someone on HF will invent the hangless hammock.
That would drive me a little crazy. Once I buy a home, I digging holes 15 feet apart, dropping a small telephone pole in each, shoring them up, then pouring concrete around them. The hanging will commence upon drying.

One of my "trees" is a telephone pole. I had the power company mov ethe lines when I fenced in my backyard and they left the pole. Awful nice of them.
If I ever get the mind to I may grab a ladder and chain saw and cut it in half so that I can have another "tree" to make my triangle.

Check you tube for the "single tree hammock setup". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57I_...e_gdata_player
If I where you, Id be planting a few more. Otherwise, you might wait 15 years, set up your hammock, and let your wife try it.... only for her to claim it. One more tree in a triangle might at least let you get three hangers up.
