    2nd Annual Louisiana Fall Hang

From 2 to 37. Last October Old River Rat and I hung together discussing what it might be like to have a Louisiana hang. With the the help of Granger and Millerville and leadership of Jazilla you've made our little dream a huge success. Thank you all for attending.I had an amazing time meeting everyone and learning from you all. Can't wait to see everyone again. If you too pictures, please post.

It was along drive for me, ditto the folks from DFW. Worth every mile. The Louisiana hospitality was simply over the top.

I would like to thank everyone who came out and made this a great time. I couldn't have asked for prettier weather. As for the cooks, I don't think you will find two better guys than Swamp Sloth and Granger that can throw it down like they did.

It was really great to put some faces to names I have seen here for a while. I enjoyed seeing the families there sharing in the experience. Also seeing the next generation out in the woods learning to hang from there parents.

I met so many great people and I know it may be the first time we meet but I also know it won't be the last. I would like to give a special thanks to Old Gringo. He was not only kind enough to bring the coffee that we all enjoyed but he was most gracious to pass around a collection for our cooks who took it upon them selves to provide the great meals we ate. Thank you very much Dave, as you could guess they both declined to take the money and left it to me which I will in turn use to finance the heck out of some door prizes for next years hang.

I would like to thank Granger fro the Friday meal. He not only bought everything but cooked the heck out of those meatballs. Also I would like to thank Old River Rat for the piggy. With the help of our cooks that pig was something else. Thanks also goes to Swamp Sloth for that killer rice dressing. You defiantly killed it, was just like momma used to make. And last but not least I would like to thank Millerville. For those who didn't catch the resemblance he and I are twins. If you don't know him by name he was the guy who talked THE MOST and THE LOUDEST. He was a big help to the cooks and to me, being Johnny on the spot when ever someone needed help or to clean up or to drag our set up back and forth from the trucks. With out the help of these close friends of mine I don't think we could have pulled together such a great hang.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this a hang I will not forget....well until next year that is.

    Jason

P.S. I only took two pictures and they where of a tarantula on the trail and all they did was make Granger think twice about putting his shoes on to go sprinkle the woods and Millerville worry cause he left his bug net unzipped a crack. I ask that anyone who took pictures if you could please post them so we all can remember a great experience.

I had such an absolutely good time went there I was going to set up a tent because I didn't have my hammocks Cody, big baby and Michael were beyond hospitable thank you guys!

To all the people who put this on the food was amazing company was great and camping was so much fun thank you guys I thousand times over.

The first night I tried to sleep in a Skeeter beater but the trees were too close together so I couldn't get comfortable because I'm 6-2" so I had to pull the plug on my first night camping in a hammock because it was just beyond uncomfortable it was not fun. So I made a pallet underneath a pine tree just by the parking lot and slept.

Then big baby found a Walmart Hammock that he found in his pack and set it up, we rigged everything up else up and I slept amazing!!! So ready to get my own Gear!

Coming from myself and friend (the dirt bike guys), we had a blast. While we didn't really get to meet everyone due to a late arrival friday on our part, and an early departure the next morning for those with boats, we were welcomed in like family saturday evening. My extreme newbie friend (soon to be site registered) could not stop talking of about all of the innovative and unique characteristics that make hanging such an eclectic form of getaway. So from the "dirt bike guys" to everyone involved this past weekend (coordinators & cooks especially), I thank you for your hospitality, enjoyed your conversation, and look forward to the next episode!
