Oh....the wonders of Hydropel. I always apply it whether I think I will need it or not.

I hope that I can learn from this trip and make better for the next one. I do love my Hydropel. I just picked up some Sport Slick to test my next time out since Hydropel isn't made anymore.

Just being out is almost always worth the troubles experienced there.

That puppy and Kiba had the same booty! haha

When you are treating blisters... are you not draining them before you bandage them up?

Maybe next spring we can figure out a weekend and take down that trail at light speed.

Since I had not seen blisters like that before, I was questioning lancing them or not. I know we would have had to clean them first, and we were debating back and forth as to the best way to press forward.

I like the idea of the two of us hiking together. I start my student teaching in February so I need to find out my schedule, but you are welcome to come along. Where my wife and I are staying right now only allows dogs outside, but either or both of yours are welcome along too.

I didn't get one blister on my thru-hike but Kaleb got hundreds. I lanced everyone, covered it with some gauze and slapped some duct tape on it and he managed to hike the whole trail.

I am doing another little teeny tiny trip in February but may have some free time in May/June for a weekend of speed hiking. I bet we can crank out those 70+ miles in 2-3 days. Woop! Woop!

I think that cleaning the foot, lancing the blisters, and lubing them very well is the plan from this point forward.

I should be done with my student teaching by then, so that is strongly a possibility. With the longer days the big miles will be easy. The heat might be annoying. But due to the possible heat, I might even try my hand at Super Ultra Light. We'll see. I'm getting excited at the possibility already.

Great video. One day you will make the whole thing. I will keep watching until then. By the way my son was born this past Thursday. Little sleep, but dreaming of him and heading on a hike. I am thinking about planning something for the spring. With him it will be a day hike, but I will be getting out to enjoy the weather. Keep up the effort!

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to seeing the two of you hit the trail together. It wont be long until he is hiking beside you, sir. Look out.

I'll make it the whole way soon enough. FireFoot (Kyle) wants to give it another go. Fronky wants to tear it up, and FLRider seems to want in too. THis might end up a party. We'd have to have Hangin' Burrito and Running Feather set up our dinners and it'd be an all out hoot.

If you can make all that happen I might have to ask the wife for permission to come along. That would be a awesome group to hang with and way too much video!

3.5 mph! I haven't seen that since I was 16 and that was chasing a woman not a blaze!
Mustard and b-b-q reminds me of Maurices in Columbia SC...good stuff.
Loves of YOUR lives! Intrigue on trails past-love it!
Ginger magic--I thought of Gilligans Island--that's the ginger I'd be thinking of
Good voice over introducint the fishermen.
Plans! I'd said grandiose but only for me.....and 8mile/day kinda guy.
Very cool effect at 18:07, reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.
FireFoot! well earned trailname! Tell him NO MORE BLISTERS
Enjoyed the walk along as always.
