Thanx for the technical specs! You've inspired me to "go that extra step" for my videos. I've become lazy and haven't spent the time mixing the audio and video on the back end.

I also have a GoPro2 and a digital recorder. I'll have to see about a little mic for the recorder.

    Thanx for the inspiration!!

Another most excellent adventure Bh5 ... what a beautiful location. Don't blame you for seeking solitude from that crowded site!

    So bike was OK?

    BH5,
I always love your vids, its ironic, because I was thinking about you just the other day wondering where you may have been off too. And plop here you are in in my living room.

I got to get off to Oz sometime. I hiked the WCT this summer with some ozzy's and they just re-confimed the fact that I have to get down there. But with those snakes an all, I'm might just have to bring steel socks I can handle bears, cougars, Mt lion etc, but not snakes.

Another great vid as usual. Always love watching the pro's do their thing.
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.

BH5 - Very nice! Hope the ankle mends well and we'll get to see some more summer walks down under.

Try to get a mic with a wind shield. You’re welcome for the tech specs and the inspiration!

Hello, hawk-eye, I hope you’re going good! That sounds like Bill and Teds excellent adventure. I could call a video, Bruciehi5’s Most Excellent Adventure. lol Yes, I was very surprised at how nice it was in there, with all the rocks it looked a bit messy, but it had a lot going for it. If anything, it could be a bit longer, it took me about four hours to do the creek part.

I feel a bit better knowing that I’m not the only one who doesn't like crowded camp sites.

Yes, the bike survived it’s night out on its own. It wasn’t the best stash spot I’ve ever found, and I don’t think I’d use it again, but it did the job this time. Thanks for letting me know you watched and enjoy the video, I like to know that you have seen them!

Amazing, the power of the mind! You just thinkeded me into your TV. lol

Steel socks would be a good look! lol That little snake was quick. When I was switching the camera off, it seemed to try to attack me. It was heading straight for me and quick. It looked like it was in attack mode, I had to get out of the way. I think it didn’t like me following it with the camera, it was like a grumpy movie star. Thanks for taking the time to watch and to comment, mugs!

Thanks, Jcavenagh! The ankle is about 98.3% fixed. I think maybe it’s a bit like going to sea and getting your sea legs. Because I haven’t been doing any hiking, maybe I had lost a bit of hiking conditioning. Just a thought.

Hello Phillipsart! I tried to use your bird silencing technique, but it didn’t work for me. You would have had GREAT fun annoying all the birds. lol Put that walk on your list of walks to do.

WOW THAT LYRE BIRD IS INCREDIBLE - chainsaws, construction sounds, engines starting, camera shutters, human speech..... just unbelievable!

Makes the mockingbird in my back yard seem lame.

LOL! Yes, it really does seem unbelievable and if it wasn't David Attenborough doing the talking in that video, I sure wouldn’t believe it!

    Hi BrucieHi5

Those whip birds are the best. I wonder if they recovered on Fraser. LOL

This walk up the creek reminds me off Mt Walsh National Park. I would love to do that walk one day soon, the camp sites look great, apart from the noisy ground dwellers.

Is this walk in the South East QLD book?

The Eastern whipbird is quite an attractive Native Australian bird, both the male and the female are similar in size and appearance. These birds have a white throat and underparts, an olive green back and wings, with a dark slate grey colour which progresses towards black which is on the birds head and belly

The Eastern whipbird as per its name does actually sound just like the sharp crack of a stock mans whip and these calls can be heard echoing up and down the wet gullies and creeks where this Australian bird resides.
