    Tyvek suspension parts wrap

I used to occasionally leave hammock suspension parts at the last campsite. I got the inspiration for a fix from old timer's tool wraps (back when a a couple of screwdrivers and pliers would get the job done). Since my wrap has a pocket for everything, I know when I close it up if I have everything. I used a recycled a USPS tyvek mailer from one of my fabric purchases but any fabric would do.

If you use a mailer, make sure you remove all labels and adhesive from areas to be sewn, or it will gum up your needle real fast. In the area where I wanted my tarp pegs, I reinforced the tyvek with packing tape to resist punctures. I attached the velcro band to keep me from losing that too. It weighs about .5 oz. See photos…

Now that's a simple way to keep everything together. Great idea.( Put your address on it too, if you leave the entire wrap behind who ever finds it can mail it back to ya)

As a guy that grew up using tool wraps and has a very nice leather one (from the Harley days), I like it.

    weighed it again, .5 oz.

Forgot to mention there is a 1" pleat on the bottom to account for width of huggers (it's shown as lines in the first photo).
