I use to make guitar speaker cabinets and to apply the tolex to the outside of the cabinet we would use super 77 awesome stuff

Ditto on 3M Super 77 spray. I talked to 3M about bonding ripstop nylon to cuben and asked if their Primer 94 would help. They said the problem with nylon is that it absorbs the primer, rather than keeping it on the surface of the fibers. They suggested using Super 77 because the aerosol delivery lays down a fine mist that stays on the surface. When I primed the nylon with it I got a fairly good bond with 9460 adhesive transfer tape, and I noted that the Super 77 by itself was quite sticky. I'd try just the Super 77.
