    My Spindrift died..

I went to the Farifield hang and just got back.
I setup on a dead tree and it fell on my Ridgerunner and Spindrift while I was getting in the hammock. It barely missed me but took out the Ridgerunner and Spindrift. The Spindrift got shredded but it saved the Ridgerunner.
I was hoping to have it for the official Tx hang in three weeks but now I am boned..
I did not have a camera with me but a couple of the guys took some pics so they will probably post them in the trip reports.

    Was it death or Homocide?

It was Homocide due to my stupidity.
I picked out a nice looking tree and started talking to Caveman and ended up on the dead tree next to the good one I picked.

I still think that Caveman distracted me so I would tie my suspension to the dead tree. I think he then waited for me to get in the hammock and pushed the tree over..

Glad your safe, except for the sharp pain in the wallet. I'm sure Caveman has a different story.

That's not cool! Sorry to hear about the Spindrift, glad to hear the RR pulled thru...probably better that happended that way than the tree getting you in the middle of the night or something!

    That is very true.
At least everyone got the chance to see a unobstructed view of the Ridgerunner.

At least he didn't do something seriously dangerous, like destroy a batch of Sarge's muffins.

Glad I was a long way away from both of those near death experiences.
