Any interest in a Georgia hang?

There are some camp sites with fire rings, tables and lantern hooks off the forest service road down past the parking area when you come into Raven Cliffs. Lots of trees from what I understand. It's by a creek with trails to waterfalls and other areas. It sounds like a good base camp but I have not seen it. I'm going back up and check it out this weekend. Do we want to try and have a pot luck dinner or should we all fend for ourselves since it's just the one night? I'll post the directions once I look at the map and get street names. You can avoid the traffic in Helen by going from the Cleveland end, it's longer but less traffic.

I'm going a couple of days beforehand to hike some in the area; anyone else?

I stopped by yesterday, Thursday, and man was it crowded! Maybe the weather, or the fact that most of the leaf lookers will be gone will change things next weekend. I'm sure we'll have a great time whatever.

I guess I'll just show up Friday afternoon and start walking on the trail and holler "Whooooo Buddy" every once in a while to see if anybody answers me. Then I'll know where the hammockforums people are set up. I sure hope I'm not the first one there!

I might be able to clear out some campsites for us that way if it's crowded. Gonna be fun, you bet cha

as of now, it looks like a 50% i'll make it to this one!!(crossing fingers and toes)
raven is very popular when the colors are changing...the campsites closest to the parking lot are the one always taken pass those sites, plenty of area to hang. just watch out for hornets nest on the groundoh, if i do make it, it looks like it will be there on friday.
