    Top quilt plans

Can anyone give me some links for DIY down top quilts. I used to have one for a quilt I think was called the carrot bag it looked like one same shape and color. Also I have seen some plans that says to use ripstop nylon. Is this material down proof and am I saying that both inside sneak outside of the bag the material should be breathable

Here us one plan for a top quilt. Adapt as needed.

You can use a ripstop that has been coated. Most DWR ripstop should be downproof. Ask where you buy it and the seller should be able to tell you if it is downproof.

Thanks chaps but if it is coated then it will not be breathable so is this not a bad thing

    excellent plans, great detail..
When asked why I sleep with my shoes on? I don't need to out run a bear, just need to out run my camp mates.

Here is another one. It is a summer sewn through but it has good pics and instructions. You are better off with a breathable nylon for the shell. Generally if it has been calendered it is down proof. Most of the vendors for outdoor fabric lists whether it's down proof or not now.
