Sounds like fun, but my son and I are in scouts and we've got something going on just about every weekend. But just a little input, we've camped at Raven Cliff, Swallow Creek which is just between Helen and Hiawassee, and a couple other areas and we've slept in our hammocks in all those places.

Ok yeah, that's not part of the park so their rules don't apply as far as hanging goes. It is a nice trail though isn't it?

Ok after further talking with my friend we realized we have a backpacking trip planned the weekend I voted for so I would like to rescind my vote and change it to Nov 10/11. She'll be able to come after work and we will have another recent convert to welcome to the fold.

It's looking like the weekend of Nov. 10/11 has the most votes. Location yet to be determined.

My son and I may make it. 17th or 24th are best. No big hikes, my knee is shot. If we can't make it, have a great hang!

From what I hear raven cliffs is pretty easy going until the very end.

Anyone know anything about Raven Cliffs area? Went up there today but it was pouring rain. Waited around for an hour with no let up so I headed back home.
