Crazy weather isn't it? Today I was thinking we may have shut the pool down too soon.

i have to say after sleeping in my hammock outdoors for over a month straight to test out my setup. i love this uq. i think i still don't have it adjusted perfectly yet due to some nights i have a cool spot in the middle of my back.

this morning i woke up with no cold spots, but when i climbed outta the hammock i was shocked at how cold it was. my thermomiter was reading 18°F, also i'm not exactly sure how accurate the forcast was but the winds overnight were suposed to be 20-30mph.

all i have for a tarp is an eno profly which i have my hammock hanging as tight up into it as i can get without pushing on the sides. i've looked at it empty and i can see my UQ hanging below the bottom edge of the tarp. so basicly my backside when in the hammock doesn't have any wind protection other then the UQ.

so long story short lol. i love this UQ and would highly recomend it. thanks again for the great UQ adam and jenny. you have made a customer for life.

btw being a cold sleeper i now am looking for even colder temps to see just how low i can go!

    Omgak,

I was using the same set up as yourself. My first night with my 20* incubator was temps in the single digits but dewpoint in the teens. My UQ was exposed just enough to get damp then cold.

I replaced the ENO Pro fly with a big blue Home Depot construction tarp. This allowed me to better block the wind and even fashion some doors. It made a significant difference in warmth and comfort. All for a very few dollars.

I have since made the leap to the HG Standard CF tarp with doors. It is under the tree so, I'll have to report back after the new year. In the mean time, my big blue tarp remains pitched in the back yard.

    Good luck and happy hangin'
