    store tarp

    i have just got a tarp from the warehouse its a store here in NewZealand and it cost me about $14 nz and they are water proof would these be ok for using as a tarp for sleeping under they have eylets every 2 feet along the seam on all 4 sides. just asking. as these are the sort ya cover ya car with.

    Does the tarp look similar to this...


    If so, it should work but it might be too heavy to carry around if you're backpacking.

    Yeah, it'll work for sure and it will protect you from rain. Just keep in mind that the grommets will eventually tear and some people use these instead...

    Main reason why people opt for the higher end tarps is mainly because of weight. However, if you're going to be car camping, these would work quite well.
