    Need some insight

I picked up a ring and strap suspension set from the PIF Thread, well I received them and I'm trying to determine how to use them with my hammocks. I was thinking of creating a continuous loop through the channel of one of my GTULs and the loop end of the strap. Also if anyone is familiar with this particular suspension set and could offer some insight into which Hammock Manufacturer supplied them with their hammock that would be great.

I think it is from Mosquito Hammocks and this picture has them. May be a little hard to see. I'm not sure how it is rigged to the hammock.

Okay, thinking about it, it looks like the loop end of that strap is supposed to go through your hammock end channel, then meet up with that ring. I'm guessing you're supposed to thread your suspension through it just like you normally would with a dual-ring suspension. Feed the suspension from the tree up through the end loop of the ring strap, then through the middle of the ring (from the "bottom"), around the outside of the ring, then back through the middle of the ring (from the "top"), and out between the ring and the loop. Tie a slippery half hitch back to the suspension (I just lift a bight, pass another bight through from the other side), and tighten it up against the ring.

That should hold, but if it doesn't feel secure, you could run a climbing carabiner through the ring strap loop and treat it as a more conventional second ring.

    Lemme know if that works

Haven't had a chance, a little storm blew through town, so I've been in waiting mode while the state recovers.

Did it? Sorry...I mainly post from the Tapatalk app, which doesn't show the profile info, so I didn't know which state you were in.

Glad you made it....hope y'all recover soon.
