Warbonnet Lynx 20 degree UQ temp?

I have a 20 degree Lynx UQ on the way for my WBRR. Has anyone taken this UQ out in cold weather and what are your thoughts on the temperature rating? Im going on a 3 day hike next weekend and it looks like overnight lows in the low 20's. With normal winter overnight clothing on, do you think I should be comfortable or should I take a pad in addition to the UQ.

    Thanks

With clothes it will probably be fine. By mid next week I will know if it truly is a 0 degree quilt or another wannabe.

I was perfectly fine with the 20* Lynx and a JRB Hudson River at 19*. This was inside a spindrift, so I can't say how it would be without a spindrift.

I believe it is true to it's rating.

i found mine to be warmer than anything ive had.what ive found is for me there is no shoulder chill at all. you could always bring along something that can hold boiling water to make a hot water bottle out of, it will kick some extra b t u action when you need it.info comes from another thread.

    Following up

Just wanted to follow up on this in case anyone has the same question. I'm out back right now with 8 inches of snow and temp at exactly 20 degrees. I have on a long sleeve merino shirt, 200 weight I believe, a stocking hat, sweat pants, and merino socks. On a whim, I decided to try my golite one season top quilt because it wS already out.

I am very comfortable right now. I'm not surprised the lynx uq is performing as advertised, but am fairly shocked at what a great job this $125 top quilt is doing. Great products from Warbonnet and Golite!

I dont know if this helps or not but I just got back from a hike this weekend with my winter lynx and i was toasty warm at 14 degrees. No wind so I had to leave the spindrift open all the way do to condensation.

Nice reports. The Lynx is amazing. So are the GoLite quilts. I really like my 3-season quilt and it's interesting to hear how low the 1-season can go.

I'm so impressed I will be buying that setup from you for some serious winter backpacking.
