What she doesn't know wont hurt her . . .

My GF is out of town for the weekend so I took the opportunity to string up the hammock for a more comfy night. She's a hammock fan in the backcountry and took to tarping surprisingly well, just not supporter in the home.

The hinges of the bedroom doors are the perfect height and distance apart. Been waiting for this day for a while now!

Looks like you're going to have a comfy nights sleep. I've slept like that before, I spent a month and a half hanging from door hinges before. Make sure you don't damage your whoopies or straps.

I wish I could do that. Don't have anything spaced right in the house. Have a perfect set of trees outside but I'm really not sure that it would be the safest thing to sleep out there overnight.

Just as a word of caution, if I were hanging from a hinge on an interior door, I would replace one of the jamb side hinge screws (probably the top one) with one long enough to pass through the jamb and into the framing material. Something in the 3 1/2" range should suffice.

This is standard practice for hanging an exterior door.

If you're going to replace one screw, why not all of them just to be safe?

I wonder how much weight that'll support? Hmmmm.
