Hello, I'm RNGN's wife and I love my claytor hammock and hiking. I wish I could go to the Missouri hang, but I have to work. I really love being outdoors with my husband and seeing and doing new things. Risk Nothing Gain Nothing!

It was a lady that brought me to the light; "Rockstar".
My mother sleeps nightly in a hammock.
My girlfriend sleeps nightly in a hammock.
Lots of lady hangers indoors and out.
Trust nobody!
Wish we could have more ladies on our hangs, seems to add a touch of class to the group.
By the way we do have quite a number of ladies join in at the Annual Florida Hangs.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
Female who wouldn't go back to a tent even if I were forced to wear a pink poncho
Perhaps a subtle hint they might not want to have all the things with them at all times because nature has these things called bears?! And, practically speaking, it's a whole lot easier to exit grimy pants underneath my tarp than trying to wriggle out of them in a tent - not to mention the fact the latter option means I have now deposited said grime inside the tent & all over my bag/quilt. Protip: There is NO graceful or easy way to exit the sports bra after a day on the trail
.....Yea, site 9 sort has me more than a bit gun shy Think I have a bit of PTSD from that.
Would love to meet our wife and daughters some day!
And a big "YES" to the guys in our group. They are wonderful and very respectful, and the guys I've met at other hangs too, they treat me just like I'm one of them. I think out of any group of people, we have some of the most respectful, open minded men out there. For the women out there, you really are in good hands. That's not to say you shouldn't practice safe camping, but as a rule we do have a wonderful group of individuals here.
She will love it. Do a few backyard hangs to get her used to the hammock camping part, and then take her to a local hang. She will be so happy she jumped into this hammock camping club, which is so comfy and fun.
"No whining in the woods"
this is great you guys! er...gals! cant wait till this weekend to show this thread to her. how could she say no? i am sure we will get her out there in the spring. proper gear may be a holdup on winter hangs. i still lack full winter confidence. something i plan to conquer with next few weeks paychecks.. hello columbia omniheat boots and clothing. recently bought the jacket and i am thoroughly impressed. i have always worked outside year round. (railroad) but my cold gear is more suited to trainyard work. heavyweight hardwearing and warm. did i mention heavy? anyone ever climb a mountain in carhart snow bibs and steel toed boots? lol i think i will pass. but i do walk about 9 miles a shift on average with the heavy stuff. so i should be floating with this new gear
