Baha, I have a RidgeRunner and an 11ft gathered end. Was trying to find a way to explain the bridge style when a friend, trying it out, called it a floating bed. That's kind of how I think of it also. It is comfortable for me at 5'10" 180 but I personally sleep sounder in the gathered end hammock. Each type has pluses but like certain shoes, one or the other may not fit you. I like having both styles but that's me. There are lots of great hammock makers and being comfortable is the key. Good luck and comfortable hanging.

Looks like I know what to ask Santa for this year.we've got no-net RidgeRunners (on sale) as well as multicam Ridgerunners on the site as of today
i made a bridge hammock the other day and slept in it for two days but boy am i paying for it it was not a good hang for me so if i were you sue i would stick to your other hammocks. just my 2 cents worth
Just to add my .02 cents. I am 5'9. I have a HH Asym Expedition, a DIY 11' DL and a SL Dutch Bridge.
The ONLY hammock that I've slept ALL night in is my bridge. It's probably because it's the one hammock I can get completely flat on my stomach in.
