    Here is my latest upgrade to my suspension system.. rather than reposting it all heres a link to the post I just put up. Some of you will be happy to know I switched to a strap like system

    tautline's been working for me for the last 10 seasons... but i'm 160lbs... i usually use 4 loops in the back and two in the front, holds fine rain or shine. not sure about how well it'd hold or come apart in a freeze, though... usually use straps when it gets ubercool.
