Curious how your little yellow temp gauge made out in the rain while clipped to your backpack strap? I think I have the same model, I wasn't aware it was water resistant.

Waited and watched this segment with my morning cup'o'joe. Good stuff! Yeah, you all are having a great time. On a trip back in high school I leaned over Hazel Creek in the Smokies to get a drink--last time I saw that pair of glasses--guess they might be at the bottom of Fontana Lake by now. Luckily it was day time and we were on our way out. Good idea with the strobe. Looking forward to more!

You are an early riser I see. In my mind your sitting in a hickory chair with country ham, eggs and grits cooking. Woodsmoke rises from the wood stove into the sweet Tennessee air.
Hickery used to always have glasses issues as we played in creeks as kids. It must be my curse.

We are so fortunate here in Minnesota to have that trail and so many others. You will love it.

It goes without saying, that my backpack and hammock set-up and technique have been greatly influenced by Shug. Then again, I am in very good company with many others on HF and YT who respect and follow his advice.
