I sleep on my left and right side in my BB (mine has the footbox on the right hand side). Brandon has made left handed BB's before, saw one for sell sell on the forum recently.

Doesn't someone sleep with their head in the footbox?
I went to wake up my wife one morning and found she had managed to turn completley around in her BB during the night. Don't think she had her head in the footbox.

Big smile. If anybody's done it, it would be Shug. I'm waiting for him to sleep on top of his hammock sitting on his unicycle.

Also I believe that Mat from UK Hammocks will build custom hammocks. Tell him exactly what you want and he might be able to make it

Having both, I think a Traveler is a BB without the net. One downside is no shelf. The other issue is that the TQ falls out of the Traveler with the lack of a net. I have a 1.1-1.7 BB made as a lefty (footbox on left). It gives my knees a little more room and my face away from the shelf when sleeping on my preferred right side.

Another hammock to look at are from TreeToTree. The switchbacks are listed here:

Good quality, comfortable and weigh a bit less than the WBBB.

If your goals are a flat lay and light weight, you may want to check out the bridge hammocks. Warbonnet is now offering the Ridge runner without a net. If you use hiking poles and can substitute them for spreader bars, you can get a RR that is around a pound or so. The weight limit is 250 (I think).
