Excellent job Jazilla. Now you've got me thinking maybe I should do this to mine. It looks like you sewed one side to the binding where the net attaches and one side to the net. Did you sew first then cut? Do you need to do anything to keep the net from ravelling?

I sewed the material first folding the lip down. Then the netting. After that I put a piece of gg on the ends of the zipper to stop the zipper from putting pressure on the no-seeum. This also hides the zipper ends. Then I cut the netting and folded it one time and sewed it again to keep it from fraying. If I could have a do over I would have sewn the netting a little higher before cutting. It would have given more to hem in the end. It was hard to get a 1/4in to fold in half and sew. Oh and the netting never ravelled.

Jazilla - I couldn't tell too well from the picture, but it looked like you were using the regular presser foot. Installing zippers is much easier if you use a zipper foot. Also, the zipper foot is handy for D-rings and anything that is thick like that. It allows you to get closer without the foot getting in the way.

    Cool project.

I am really close to ordering a zipper to completly remove my bugnet. I'm close, just not there yet. Mainly because school is getting in the way.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

I don't think it would be hard but finding the right zipper length might be a little difficult.
Some one said to use a zipper foot when installing zippers. What is a zipper foot?
