Hennessy Asym tarp with pole mod

I've been testing a pole mod on a Hennessy stock asym tarp. Works pretty well. The guyout lines are attached to the support pole of my stand in the picture but it would also work in the field to attach to a center stake. Simply pull on the line sliders to pull the tarp down to whatever arch angle you desire. So far this has worked well in the backyard.
The pole mod removes the tarp ridge slop and tensons the whole tarp quite well.

    Hey that looks good.
Would you attach this to the Hammock tie up points as standard or on a separate ridge line?
Also how have you attached the pole to the tarp, have you added loops to the ridgeline of the tarp?

There is a ribbon tie sewn to the ridgeline stiching that keeps the pole from moving and pole pockets sewn over the tie out patches that holds the pole.

If you don't have a sewn ridgeline like on the Hennessy polyurethane coated tarp like I have, but Silnylon, and don't want to sew to the Sil, one could support the pole with string to the tarp ends points.

I have the same Tarp as you and was thinking of having a go at this, but I am not sure why, other than I like the idea of not using a separate ridge line.
I had wondered about using a tape with a grommet at each tie of point as the pole I have has a small point on each end. These can be removed as they are held on with shock cord and I will have to change the pole length

This is along the lines I had in my head (Bigger Tarp though) to make a 4 season tarp.
I think the poles would create a better support against snow.

That's a ZQ labor of love. My old OES Sil Deluxe finally died and she made this setup for me. I use it all the time now. The doors and pole mod provide everything...bring on snow or rain.
