    Zing it whoopie slings?

Is it possible? I was going to use Zing it to make my ridge line and I've read to start with 83% of my hammock length. I figured whoopie slings would allow me to change it as needed. Is this a good idea?

Yeah you can do that,,,,,,well wait, let me say that it is possible, but splicing zing it can be a pain. My ridgeline is a dynaglide whoopie and it is cool for it to be adjustable but once I got it comfortable I don't want to move it. (that consistencay was kinda the reason for the ridgeline in the first place). Anyways back on topic, yes you can make a zingit whoopie ridgeline

2.2 is much much easier than 1.7 but either can be done.

As dangerous says though, once you have it, you don't really need to adjust it...

Here's what splicing the fixed eye end looks like with 1.75 zing it.

I make all my ridgelines using 1.75mm Zing-it and splice it without too much difficulty.

The good thing about the 1.75 lines are that the bury does not need to be as long as for 7/64 amsteel. You'll be shooting for roughly half the length of a amsteel bury. While it can be more difficult to splice than amsteel, its not impossible. I say go for it, and have fun.

For a moment I thought we were talking about actual whoopie slings not a ridgeline...I haven't even tested tech line whoopies yet @ 1.9mm so 1.75mm was going to blow my mind.

Ridgeline...no problem. Mine is 1.9 tech line. You'll be fine.

@dangerous. So you're saying a whoopie made out of dynaglide would be better for a ridge line?
